Welcome to JobzMall! Whether you are an employer or a jobseeker, we are so happy to have you join our amazing community. JobzMall is an innovative new way to not only look for jobs, but also interact with peers in the new workforce.
We take pride in our innovative design, but we also know that it is much different than other websites you may have visited (we take pride in that too). This article will outline some of the new concepts you may not be familiar with, and help give you an edge up in navigating JobzMall.
The Mall
So... the elephant in the room. A virtual mall for jobs? Why of course! You spend hours and hours perusing virtual malls all the time. From Amazon to eBay, the world online is full of constant shopping. Here at JobzMall, we took that concept to an entire new level, and then applied it to jobs.
But why you ask? It's simple. Searching for jobs has been a huge pain in the you-know-what for a long time. You spend countless hours reading large blocks of text and filling out gigantic applications. This eats up a huge amount of hours during your days. This leaves you frustrated, unmotivated, and defeated.
By creating a virtual mall, we make job exploration engaging, educational, and most importantly, fun. We thought, if people get lost at Amazon or Wish looking at pet toys or random clothes that won't fit them, why can't they have that much fun on a platform that will actually give them actual benefit and return?
So JobzMall was born.
How do I navigate the Mall?
Glad you asked. It is super easy to navigate our mall. Simply click on the buildings to get started!
Which building do I choose first?
We have 5 main buildings:
Companies Building: In this building you will find all the major industries and sectors you can think of, with the exception of Startups, Education, Government, and Non-Profit (because we have buildings for those!) - If you aren't sure what you are looking for, this a great place to start.
Start-Up Building: If you want to work in a start-up and are comfortable in a start-up environment, this is the building for you. From startups working in financial services to pioneers in augmented and virtual reality, you will definitely find something here to scratch that entrepreneurial itch.
Education Building: If you want to work in the education sector, or you love to teach, definitely start here. All the schools, universities, training companies, community colleges are here.
Government Building: Wanna be a serve your country or even your city? This is the building for you. You can see the city, county, state and federal job openings on this building and even learn more about government sector!
Non-Profit Building: If you are dedicated to furthering a social cause or advocating for those in need, this building was erected in your name. This building is home to non-profit organizations from all around.
What is a building and how do I navigate in one?
It is very simple! A building in our mall acts as a window in to a plethora of different industries (or Floors) on that building.
First lets take a look at the Building Overview:
First and foremost the building overview gives you a wonderful description of this building so you know exactly what this building is home to.
After you can see the top floors on this building. Here we can see Financial Services, AR & VR, and Mobile to name just a few!
As you scroll down, the building gives you the top companies (stores) on this building, and even gives you a video spotlight of the companies here. With the spotlight, you can watch countless videos from the employers on this building without having to go anywhere:
As you continue to scroll down, we give you job suggestions on this building based on your location:
Finally, at the bottom of the building is the Building Directory:

What is a floor and how do I navigate on one?
A floor is a place where you can come to learn about a particular industry segment on a building. Unlike a building, the floor gives you a lot more information about the industry segment you are exploring. In addition to information, you are able to directly explore companies, jobs, and industry segment videos posted by the companies of this floor. Let's check it out!
Just like a building, the Floor Overview gives you detailed information about this industry segment, shows you the top companies, and allows you to explore what companies are doing via video!
One big difference between a building and floor is the amount of information you can explore. Beyond the Floor Overview, there are tabs here for Jobs, Stores, and Videos. Check them out!
Bonus Feature: One small special feature of a floor is that each floor has a Talent Pool, which is a special JobzMall feature that allows you to apply all of the organizations on this floor with the click of a button. Try it out when you can! Simply scroll down on a Floor Overview, click Apply Now.
Navigating JobzMall - Home
Beyond the mall (above), there are a lot of places to explore on JobzMall. As a user, JobzMall gives you many resources at your disposal. But there is one core part of JobzMall that will you be greeted by over and over again. That is Home.
Home is the center of your world as a JobzMall user. Home lets you easily explore the latest content on JobzMall, from Video Resumes to articles. It also gives you and overview snapshots of all of your data from your recently visited locations throughout the platform to what jobs you have recently applied to.
From your home, you can reach almost every other point of interest. Let's go over some of the different parts of your home.
Profile Summary: Your profile summary is at the left top of your home screen. This is a quick way to navigate to your profile. Simply click on your name or your profile photo to quickly visit your profile.
Explore Card: The explore card on your home allows you see get a small peek into your recent searches and browsing history. It is good if you forgot what you were just looking at or searching! You can always click on Recent Searches or Recently Visited to view and manage all of your history.
My Jobs Card: The My Jobs Card shows you a sneak peak of your most recent applications. To manage and track all of your applications, you can simply click See All.
Home Feed: Your home feed specially curated content from the community and from our companies. At your fingertips, there is a plethora of content including Video Resume answers, Suggested Stores, Community Posts, Talent Star Interviews and Articles.
Navigating JobzMall - The Header
If you are logged in, you will see a few items in the header at the top of your screen:
Home Icon - Click on the home icon to navigate home.
Messages Icon - Click here to access your messages with employers and other JobzMall members.
Notifications Icon - Click here to view your notifications.
Profile Image - Click here to access your side drawer.
Navigating JobzMall - Side Drawer
While home has a lot of ways for you to access the resources you need, you won't always be on home. There are a lot of places to explore on JobzMall, and we don't expect you to stay on home 100% of the time. So how do you quickly access the resources you need elsewhere? That is where your Side Drawer comes in.
What is the side drawer and how do I access it?
The side drawer is an on-demand hub of quick actions that you can bring out at anytime by clicking your profile image in the header wherever you are:

My Jobs - jump over the to the My Jobs page to view and track your application status, as well as manage your saved jobs.
Discover - Quickly go to our explore page to see suggested content such as jobs, organizations, and communities, tailored just for you. You can also manage the organizations and communities you are following
Settings - Go to your settings page where you can do things like manage your personal information, personalize your experience, set your privacy settings, update billing information, and contact Help & Support.
Sign Out - You can sign out by clicking the More icon on your side drawer, and clicking Sign Out.
Discover JobzMall: We have a lot of incredible tools and resources within JobzMall. Use this to quickly navigate around the rest of JobzMall. You can also access most of these from the left-hand sidebar as well!
Manage Stores: If you are an employer, you will have all of your stores here as well so you can quickly jump between your employer dashboards.
