How do I make my profile private?

New profiles are Private. Employers-Only is the Talent Bank switch. Public is a portfolio on the open web.

A new JobzMall profile is private. You do not have to turn privacy on. Open Privacy & Visibility. The page has two choices for the profile, and a Talent Bank switch beside them.

The three ways people see it

  • Private — the default. The profile is hidden from the public and from search engines. It is not in Talent Bank unless you turn that switch on. Only employers you apply to see your details. You can still apply.
  • Employers-Only — leave the profile on Private, and turn on Show me on Talent Bank. The profile stays off the open web. Verified employers can find it in Talent Bank and contact you. The settings page calls this Talent Bank Discovery, not a third radio button.
  • Public — the profile is a portfolio anyone can open, including search engines such as Google. Your street address stays visible only to you.

Email, phone number, and resume are shared only with employers you apply to, including when the profile is Public. A video cover letter stays on that application.

Show me on Talent Bank can stay on while the profile is Private. Verified employers can still find you. Turn the switch off if you do not want that. You can still apply either way.
