At JobzMall, we take your data and privacy very seriously. Especially in recent days, your data makes up everything you are online, and even sometimes offline. We understand that with the many data scandals out there, it is hard to trust websites with your data.

Our technology team works hard to make sure we protect your sensitive data and not distribute your data except to those in whom you apply to. We employ the latest standards and measures to ensure you don't have to worry about anything other than having a good experience on JobzMall. Let's go over some of the things we worry about so you don't have to.

How We Protect Your Data

We follow industry-leading practices in protecting not only your account, but your data. From intelligent logic decisions to military-grade encryption standards, we know that the following points are super important to keeping you safe online.

Personally Identifiable Information

We make sure employ the best practices when it comes to personally identified information. Besides your public profile information, all of your data is fully hidden from everyone except for the employers you apply to, and very key JobzMall staff. We make sure that any party who has access to things like your email and phone are in compliance with our internal standard and the law.

Advertising

We DO NOT sell your data to third party advertisers. Any advertisements on JobzMall are internal and only designated for products or companies within our own platform. This means we can assure that your data is only for JobzMall purposes, and not to sell you advertisements across the web.

Financial Data

Your financial data is the most protected information that you use on the web. We understand that wholeheartedly, and are in full compliance with PCI standards, and we always will be. The following practices make us fully PCI compliant

  1. We make sure that we handle the ingress of credit card data from customers, and that namely, that sensitive card details are collected and transmitted securely

  2. We store data securely, which is outlined in the 12 security domains of the PCI standard, such as encryption, ongoing monitoring, and security testing of access to card data

  3. We validate annually that the required security controls are in place, which can include forms, questionnaires, external vulnerability scanning services and 3rd party audits

Your financial information is safe with JobzMall

What control do I have who sees my public information?

This question is asked a lot by our JobzMall community, as they should. You have full control over who gets to see your data.

As stated above, by default, we protect certain PII datapoints such as your email, phone numbers, financial addresses, amongst others. However, as a JobzMall user, you can lock things down even further.

Profile Privacy (and how to use it)

By default, JobzMall is a community of peers who work together to better themselves and share their stories in a fashion like no other platform. That means, when you first sign up to JobzMall, your profile information (excluding the data points mentioned above) are public.

You can however, set your profile to private at anytime.

To set your profile to private:

  1. Open your side drawer by clicking on your profile image in the header.

  2. Click on Settings in the side drawer.

  3. Click on the Privacy & Security tab.

  4. In the Profile Privacy section, select the Private radio button and then click Save Privacy Settings

That is all you need to do!

What happens when I set my profile to private?

When you set your profile to private, your entire profile is blocked by everyone except for the employers that you have applied to and JobzMall staff. All of the content you posted on JobzMall (including posts, video resume answers, etc) will no longer be shown on public feeds. In addition, we no longer submit your profile to Google or other search engines.

If you wish to not be seen by the employers you have applied (while your profile is private of course) simply withdraw your application(s) to their job(s) or company. See "How do I withdraw an application" for more information.
