How do I withdraw an application?

At JobzMall, we understand that circumstances can change, and you might need to withdraw a job or direct application (see What is Direct Apply). We've made this process simple and straightforward. Before we dive into the steps, let's cover some important information.

Before You Withdraw

Before withdrawing your application, consider the following:

  1. Profile Updates: If you're considering withdrawal because you forgot to include some information, remember that updating your profile will automatically update your application. There's no need to withdraw in this case.

  2. Certainty: Ensure you're certain about withdrawing, as this action cannot be undone.

  3. Professional Courtesy: If if you've had any direct communication with the employer, it's good practice to inform the employer about your decision.

Steps to Withdraw Your Application

Follow these simple steps to withdraw your job or direct application:

  1. Log in to JobzMall: Ensure you're logged into your JobzMall account.

  2. Navigate to Jobs Section:

    • Go to your home

    • Look for and click on the "Jobs" section in the main menu

  3. Access Applications Tab:

    • In the Jobs section, locate and click on the "Applications" tab

    • This will show you a list of all your active applications

  4. Select the Application:

    • Find the specific application you wish to withdraw

    • Click on it to open the application details

  5. Find the Actions Tab:

    • Within the application details, look for the "Actions" tab

    • Click on this tab to see available options

  6. Withdraw the Application:

    • In the Actions tab, find and click the "Withdraw" button

    • You may be asked to confirm your decision

  7. Confirmation:

    • After clicking "Withdraw," you should receive a confirmation message

    • The application status should update to "Withdrawn"

After Withdrawing

  • Your application will no longer be visible to the employer

  • The job will be removed from your "Applications" list

  • If it was a "Direct Apply" application, you may need to wait before reapplying to the same organization

Important Notes

  • Withdrawing an application is final and cannot be undone

  • If you change your mind, you'll need to submit a new application (if the job is still open)

  • For "Direct Apply" applications, there might be a cooldown period before you can apply to the same organization again
